The No Kings Protests on June 14th were a huge success! It was the largest national day of protest in our country's history, with an estimated 5-6 million people participating. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos of the Hamilton protest. Our other nearest protest was in Belton, and it drew an estimated 800 people. The next nearby protest will be the morning of July 4th, in Marble Falls, and is sponsored by the Highland Lakes Democratic Women. In other news, many of the bills passed in the last Texas Legislative Session have gone into effect. There is an excellent overview of these new laws on ksat.com. Gov. Abbott has also called a special session to begin on July 21st to revise the THC ban bill, among other items.
